119th Street is a major shopping street located in Johnson County, Kansas, stretching between the suburbs of Overland Park, KS and Leawood, KS. It is in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and is on the Kansas side of the metro (which is anchored in Missouri). The street is a network of several major developments and mini-shopping centers, each with upscale tenants. Town Center Plaza includes several upscale restaurants, national boutiques such as a Banana Republic, Macys, Coldwader Creek, Vera Bradley, and many more. On the other side of the street is Hawthorne Plaza, featuring several local upscale boutiques. A Crate & Barrel is located in One Nineteen, a shopping center adjacent to Hawthorne Plaza that is currently under development. Park Place is yet another upscale development being developed along 119th street. Several national upscale retaliers, such as Apple have all announced stores that will be located in the area, but have not announced as to when. 119th Street remains an upscale shopping destination in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
