The 1916 team was the first Ohio State Big Ten Championship Team. Maybe Ohio State's Best player of all time played during this time, three time all-American Chic Harley.^{[citation needed]} The Buckeyes also played in this season in the famous game of 1916 when Ohio State defeated Oberlin College 128-0, this was the most points an Ohio State team scored.^{[citation needed]}
