CITIC Provident, a private equity subsidiary of China's CITIC Group announced its intentions to use this deal to increase its presence in China.[4][5]

In 2007, it was announced that Jim Fleet had been appointed CEO. At this time, he announced his intention to relocate and centralize the company to one location in East Providence, Rhode Island. [2]
