Frequency band

A frequency range or frequency band is a range of wave frequencies. It most often refers to either a range of frequencies in sound or a range of frequencies in electromagnetic radiation, which includes light and radio waves.

Many radio devices operate within a specified frequency range which limits the frequencies on which it is allowed to transmit. The lower-bound and upper-bound frequencies are the points at which signal strength of the device falls off by 3 dB.

Music

The frequency range of a musical instrument is called ambitus.

CATV Cable Amplifier

The Frequency Range of a CATV amplifier are categorised as mentioned below;

1. Low Frequency Range are 1 Hz to 150 MHz.
2. Intermediate Frequency Range are 151 MHz to 299 MHz.
3. High Frequency Range are 300 MHz to 50 GHz.

Optical signal amplifier

The Frequency Range of Optical signal amplifier are catagorised as below;

Low frequency range = 1 kHz to 299 MHz

High frequency range = 300 MHz to 50 GHz
