Gerard Damiano (born August 4, 1928) is an American director of pornographic films. He directed the famous film Deep Throat in 1972 starring Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems, the most successful film of all time in terms of the budget to box office returns ratio (Estimates vary but it's approximately 25,000 to 1. In comparison, Titanic (1997) has a ratio of less than 10 to 1). Other notable films made by Damiano include The Devil in Miss Jones (1973) and the sadomasochistic classic The Story of Joanna (1975).
