Paul A. Baran (1910 - 1964) was an American economist known for his Marxist views. He was born in Russia, but had his academic career in the United States, teaching at Stanford University from 1949 until his death of a heart attack in 1964. He is sometimes associated with the Neo-Marxian school of thought.
