Introduction

A zeedonk in South Africa

Hello:

I'm Nathan Hawking. Among other things, I write. Contact me on my talk page. Direct personal communication through the Wikipedia email channel.

There seems to be no shortage of editors on Wikipedia, so I focus on writing new articles, or substantially modifying needy existing material. My contributions may reflect my interests, or not. One link leads to another.

I joined the Wikipedia gang on September 25, 2004, making modest revisions to an article about the offspring of a union between a donkey and a zebra.

Donkey liaisons are not prominent in my thoughts—honest!—so what took me to that article? I don't remember; perhaps that random page link to your left.

Wikipedia is a wonderful place to wander, and of no other place can it be more aptly urged:

"If you come to a fork in the road, take it."—Yogi Berra

Quotes

Albert Einstein: Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.
Groucho Marx: Outside of a dog, books are a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.
Max Planck: A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.
Ian Wright--Globe Trekker: Just because somebody lives in a remote village doesn't mean they aren't a complete twit.
