You are currently using an outdated version of the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. This browser has many known bugs which will diminish your ability to see Wikipedia as it is meant to be.
Some transparent images will appear with white backgrounds, then suddenly switch to being properly transparent. Other transparent images will fail to display their transparency at all. Pages will load more slowly than with other browsers. You may also experience distorted or difficult-to-read text and assorted page layout issues due to your browser's poor support for Cascading Style Sheets.
To resolve these and other problems, you are encouraged to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7. You can also fix the problems by using a different browser, such as Firefox, Safari, or Opera. All of these programs can be downloaded free of charge.
I understand that when editing from work, school, or a public computer, this may not be possible, so Wikipedia does try to accommodate Internet Explorer 6 as much as we can. However, there are limitations (like those described above) that ultimately cannot be resolved unless users upgrade or use a different browser.
Well, to tell you a little bit about me, there is a story behind my username. I was with a group of friends at an event where people kept failing to pronounce the dot in "VB .NET". This led me to say "DOT net" whenever someone left out the dot. So my friends nicknamed me "DOT net" or "dot" for short.
This story says a lot about me and my attention to detail. Feel free to help me achieve the following goals for Wikipedia:
Add credible sources to back up content.
Use the <ref> tag to cite sources when appropriate.
Use the cite web and cite news templates to cite sources when appropriate.
My text contributions to the English Wikipedia are available under the GFDL, but I do not ask you to credit me personally or preserve my edits in the page history (as the GFDL ordinarily requires) as long as credit is given to Wikipedia. This extra release does not apply to contributions to the User namespace, talk namespaces, and edit summaries, which remain under the regular GFDL.
From time to time, I send e-mails from rememberthedot@gmail.com to confirm image licensing etc.
