Welcome! Hello, Electron9, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place ProtuberanceHi E9, My apologies for reverting without an explanation, it's the disadvantage of pop-ups. I had two reasons for reverting, one aesthetic, one rational: First, your wikilink had a duplication of the term - protuberances. There's no need to put in a wikilink with a pipe for plurals, the markup or whatever the magic program is that changes code to text automatically captures the 's' after any word. Cats and Cats are exactly the same when wikified: Cats and Cats. Second, and this is the bigger reason - you wikilinked a term which had no entry and no re-direct. More plainly, there's no entry for Protuberance and a pet peeve of mine is redlinks. Second only to re-directs, damn I hate redirects in wikilinks. Fills me with rage. Anyway, given the rather limited use of the term 'protuberance', strictly anatomical and there's not much information that could be placed on an entry, I figured it would sit as a dead link for years 'cause it's an unlikely entry to be created. Had you created a page for 'protuberance' right after, I would have corrected the wikilink to protuberances and left it in the article (though given the contents of an entry on protuberances, I would probably eventually nominated it for deletion or possibly rolled it into a larger entry of minor anatomical terms). Anyway, if you do create the entry, feel free to put the wikilink back in, and if I find other mentions of anatomical protuberances I'll link to the new article. Hope that clears it up, apologies if I offended. WLU 21:45, 11 January 2007 (UTC) People's Republic of China vs Republic of ChinaThere are de facto two Chinas. One is called the Republic of China, this government was however run out of mainland China by the communists who established the People's Republic of China. The problem I think that you're having difficulty with is that there are two Chinas, one controls mainland China (PRC), and one controls Taiwan (ROC), but both lay claim to the whole of China. It's a very confusing situation, but rest assured that Taiwan is actually run by the Republic of China. --Puellanivis 01:32, 12 January 2007 (UTC) How to find requested but not found articles? Some time ago I filled a request on bugzilla: bug 6373. Please help improve it by adding it to one or more categories, so it may be associated with related articles. A stub marker or other template doesn't count - please put in an actual category in the article.Eli Falk 23:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC) MuscleGood job on the muscle page. A point on style - usually you only wikilink the first instance of a word on the page, and you try to keep the article consistent throughout. Specifically, you used N rather than Newtons the first time, and wikilinked the second instance using the full word. I changed the second Newton to N and removed the wikilink. WLU 15:00, 27 January 2007 (UTC) It's a long article so I simple missed it, was a bit on a timeschedule and tired. You are absolutly right on Newton. I initially linked it because I thought "biology people" might have less grasp on physics matters. I try to make it as good as possible. And pray any faults will be caught by-many-eyes-watching ;) Electron9 21:21, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
HEC (html) has been proposed for deletionI have proposed one of your articles for deletion. This can be discussed at the AfD page if you have any objections. NetOracle 23:43, 8 February 2007 (UTC) Orphaned fair use image (Image:Diglog.png)Thanks for uploading Image:Diglog.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:18, 10 May 2007 (UTC) Duplicate images uploadedThanks for uploading Image:PI-pad.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Pi-pad.png. The copy called Image:Pi-pad.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action. This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. A tag has been placed on Nordisk Mobiltelefon (Sweden), by Leuko (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Nordisk Mobiltelefon (Sweden) is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. LM3875A prod template has been added to the article LM3875, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the Comment tags in articlesPlease don't "name and shame" Wikipedians in comment fields in articles. It's rude and uncalled-for. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. RAFI don't care where the redirect leads but you must clean up the "what links here" first. It's no good leaving a bunch of links to a disambiguation page. Thanks. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the Secure Digital card editI have reverted your recent edit of Secure Digital card because it was based on personal testimony, which is not an acceptable source of information, and contradicts a cited reliable source. What you say may very well be true, but we need to have a proper published source to allow readers and editors to verify this information. Please read Wikipedia:Verification for why this is necessary.
