action man

(JESUS GOD IN HEAVEN THIS ARTICLE IS HUGE AND REDUNDANT!!!) this is hardly a useful observation. If you have specific areas of concern, why not list them?Hholland 12:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi. If you percieve this as containing original research, please illustrate where you feel this is occurring. I have added footnotes, and nothing on this page cannot be found in one of the reference books listed. Hholland 16:20, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

First of all, new additions to a talk page belong on the bottom, so people can more easily notice the new message. About the Action Man article... it is filled with completely trivial information, way too detailed to be encyclopedic. The vast majority of people who visit that article do NOT go there to find pictures and read physical descriptions of the figure, with accurate measurements of dimensions. However interesting this might be to you, it it redundant and does not belong on Wikipedia. I highly recommend that you request a peer review of the Action Man and G.I. Joe articles. --Ifrit 17:28, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

bash.org

Wikipedia entry is not a place to try and goad us into modding more quotes. One, the queue has been halved since you started typing propaganda. Two, why not just email me asking to be a mod? Learn the proper channels... Blaxthos 19:35, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

First of all, new entries start at the bottom. Second of all, there is a difference between truth and propaganda. If you didn't noticed, I knew the queue halved and updated the article accordingly. As for me moderating bash... sure, why not, I would be willing to help you out, if it is wanted. --Ifrit 08:17, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Stub template

Hi. A couple of us at WP:WSS are a bit puzzled by some edits like this. Do you recall what stub template was used in that edit? Thanks. Alai 01:23, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

I think we worked this out, actually. As you were! Alai 06:40, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
Yes, that was my first attempt at a stub. Also, since it was near deletion, I figured I'd just clean it up, and try to shape it more like the other CS map articles. I was planning to do more, though. --Ifrit 21:31, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

The... vote

Hi Ifrit, would you mind taking a look at the vote for the way we represent articles about consoles and handheld systems? Thank you. Havok (T/C/c) 23:01, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

I would like to redirect you to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Warcraft character articles. Could you please voice your opinion on this, as it will sett precedence for what to do with articles like this. Havok (T/C/c) 06:56, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

User:Michael Haugland_stuff

Hi there, and thanks for your message.

I agree that there's little likelihood that that the page User:Michael_Haugland_stuff, but as your brother is new to Wikipedia I'm sure you'd agree that it would be more helpful for him, and to the wider community, that he be taught how to properly create Sandbox pages under his own user pages, rather than randomly creating pages for his contributions (notable or otherwise) - that's why (having realised that he hadn't long been a contributor to these pages) I didn't wade in with warnings and scoldings, but instead took a more softly-softly approach. To come at it from a different angle, surely it's worth tidying this up now rather than having to have someone else come along in a few months or years and try to work out what was going on? Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 18:18, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I haven't heard back from you, so have flagged the page in question with {{tl:db-nouser}} and will leave it at that. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:05, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Murder

I've reverted your recent edit to Murder, as the source was not verifiable. If you can suss out something that is, please let us know.LeadSongDog 16:35, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Why not verifiable? What the hell does suss mean? Who is "us"? --Ifrit 21:03, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

The Power Metal Page

It's not about notable. But if we are going to go by that Dragonforce and Pagans Mind should not be listed as the most notable. I don't have a problem listing bands such as Helloween and Hammerfall. But the way it is there are to many bands. Keep it down to the most importent who play it would be better exmaple European/Melodic Power Metal Helloween, Gamma Ray, and Blind Guardian or Hammerfall. They are the most well known and are most importent for European/Meldoic Power Metal. --98.224.211.86 (talk) 22:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Otacon

Didn't mean to mark your comments as vandalism; I had already made the changes before I realized it. However I left it alone since I didn't think putting that in was necessary. Strongsauce (talk) 17:54, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Image:Dwarfs.jpg

regardign Image:Dwarfs.jpg - I fixed the copyright tag and added a fair use rationale - for copyrighted images, you need to write an explicit rationale explaining how it meets all the non-free content criteria and tag it correctly, or it'll be deleted. If it hadn't been "obvious enough" for me to do, I'd have closed as delete rather than fixing it, since it wouldn't have been obvious how to fix. Wily 11:26, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I know about rationales, I just didn't think of it, since I'm not the original uploader. I just edited it to eliminate one of the arguments for deletion. --Ifrit (talk) 12:05, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Joey Ramone

In case you're interested, I reverted edits by one "Joeysmanager" made to the Joey Ramone article that seemed to have irritated you. I hate crazy edits like that an' all. --AdamSommerton (talk) 21:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. --Ifrit (talk) 21:27, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Dear Mr Sommerton,

I am VERY interested

I work for The Estate of Jeffrey Hyman, (you reverted his name to the wrong spelling).

I posted in discussion with no repsonse and a week later tried to make factual corrections and add positive accomplishments.

Why was everything reverted? We only hope to balance the information you propagate?

The reference to Marfans Syndrome is totally incorrect.

In general whomever started this page is obviously not a fan and pulled from all negative sources.

He was a great guy, singer, and person who accomplished a lot.

Can those things be included or does it have to portray only poorly written and negative information?

His family is concerned about curating his legacy properly.

They're upset and quite honestly we all wish you would simply delete this page altogether.

Is it possible to be permanently "unlisted?"

Best regards,

Dave Frey 917-282-0852 dave@silentpartnermanagement,com www.silentpartnermanagement,com --Joeysmanager (talk) 09:29, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

No matter if you are actually who you say you are, a representative of the estate of Joey Ramone, the edits you made to the article were unfitting of Wikipedia. The article was written by no one person, as Wikipedia is freely editable as long as the content is of an encyclopedic nature, and every claim can be cited from published biographies, respectable websites or other similar works. The edits you made were not only unencyclopedic, but also in breach of the Wikipedia standard of nonbiased presentation of the subject material (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view). If you want to have the article of Joey Ramone excluded from Wikipedia, I am definitely not the person to adress. In regards to notability, Joey Ramone most certainly fulfills Wikipedia's requirements for his own article, and articles on Wikipedia should not be deleted unless their subject matter do not fulfill these notability requirements. If you want to take this further, I recommend you contact the administrators of the English Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Contact us). I have sent a copy of this message by e-mail to dave@silentpartnermanagement.com, as well as your Wikipedia talk page. --Ifrit (talk) 14:47, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Dear Ifrit,
I'm not smart enough to figure out all the Wiki rules and regulations, I must be unfitting.
So the world will think that Joey had Marfans Syndrome because Wiki's "reliable sources" say so.

D&D articles for Wikipedia 0.7

Hi there!  :)

As someone who's worked on D&D and/or RPG articles before, I'm inviting you to participate in our goal to both improve articles that have been selected to be placed in the next Wikipedia DVD release, as well as nominate more to be selected for this project. Please see the WikiProject D&D talk page for more details. :) BOZ (talk) 04:13, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject: Dungeons & Dragons

Hi! I’ve been working on a lot of ‘’Dungeons & Dragons’’ articles lately and saw that you were a member of WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons), and am inviting you to rejoin Wikipedia’s D&D group. I've been hard at work removing tags placed inappropriately on D&D articles, as well as modifying articles to remove tags that were placed legitimately. In addition, I have been compiling related articles together so that the articles are longer, making it easier to remove tags and to have short articles on lesser topics by just putting it into another appropriate article (links to such compiled articles can be found on my userpage). Check out the project here , and ask any questions that you may have here. Thank you for your time. Drilnoth (talk) 20:41, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
