Questions to meFeel free to ask. Comments to meFeel free to speak your mind. In your comment on the discussion page about the German spring offensive in WWI, you referred to a book that suggested that the German advance was slowed by looting for food and wine by the soldiers. FWIW, I recall reading that in Paul Fussell's The Great War and Modern Memory; perhaps that is the book you are thinking of??Bloggy's man 02:45, 25 January 2007 (UTC)Bloggy's Man That's not the one, but it may say the same thing. --itpastorn 15:45, 16 July 2005 (UTC) Howdy, I uploaded the Acid3 Test screenshot with the current score of 52/100. Not sure how you wanted to link it up. MarsInSVG (talk) 17:39, 10 March 2008 (UTC) Image:Acid3 ff20012 score52.png I see that it has been taken care of. However the score of 52 seems unreliable. I get 51 with FFox 2.0.12 on Win XP.--itpastorn (talk) 18:01, 11 March 2008 (UTC) Why the allies won WW2In some articles this subject tend to come up. In some american movies, e.g. Pear Harbour, it seems as though the US won mainly because of their soldiers bravery, etc. In some discussions people seem to think that "if only" the Germans had won one more battle, be it Stalingrad, Kursk or "the Bulge" or whatever, they'd won the war. It is not true. It had simply prolonged the war some. War material production in billions of dollars (dollar value as of 1944).Source: P. Kennedy, The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers (1966).

Albania is also rich in rivers and streams with significant hydroelectric potential. These have been exploited quite effectively, making the country an energy exporter. A number of huge hydroelectric power plants have been built, mainly on the Drin River, and more than half of the country's arable land is irrigated, largely from the artificial reservoirs created upstream of the dams. Re: Just curiousHow a rather young person like you have come to study ancient greek to such an extent? And do you have any particular favourite works? --itpastorn 21:03, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity. People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 09:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC) |
