Welcome!Hi Seattlenow, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!
Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out : Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: [[User:Mailer diablo|Mailer Diablo]] 02:02, 12 December 2005 (UTC). This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =) - :) Mailer Diablo 02:02, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Would somebody that can, please change this username to "Iaminseattle" or "Iaminseattlenow" if the first one is already in use, since the current username has caused problems due to misinterpretation. Regforafd 23:09, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Digital Nitrate PrizeHello, just because someone deleted this before doesn't mean they are correct. It is a real, legitimate not-for-profit, charitable organization with worldwide supporters. Please undo your deletion. You are doing serious harm to the efforts of archivists to preserve films. Thank you. Who ruined Wikipedia:Tutorial? What the hell's going on with Wikipedia:Tutorial?!?! It looks like CRAP using MS-IE, and UNUSABLE CRAP using Firefox. Regforafd 09:00, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Username changeYour request has been fulfilled. Regards — Dan | talk 16:50, 3 February 2006 (UTC) ==List of Indiana State Roads==I was going to take care of the article names in the list shortly. However, this move is not disputed -- I'm not using parens for disambiguation here. the discussion here points out that " If someone wants to move to Routes go ahead though, but we need the caps". This is basd on the erroneous comment that Indiana has "state routes," when they in fact have "State Roads". Hence, I'm only correcting his statement in that "if anyone wants to move to Roads go ahead though". This is not discussed to death. atanamir 23:08, 10 April 2006 (UTC) Editing pussyYou wrote: "I can't believe I had to log in to make such a trivial edit". Regrettably, for a long time the pages duck (because of the silly public image of ducks) and pussy (because of the sexual slang sense of "pussy") have been persistently vandalized and at least 90% of their edits wwre vandalism and reverts, so that both had been semiprotected. Anthony Appleyard 06:07, 28 December 2006 (UTC) Really old editsMan, would've thought they'd be fixed by now. Then again I should be cleaning up my own messes, so I'll get on that. --Wizardman 23:28, 7 January 2007 (UTC) re: James MoodyMove done! Only reason I didn't do it before was that I wasn't sure which was wanted. All cleared up now, hope that works. Can you open its Talk Page and help ? Thanks.--BobClive 08:25, 20 January 2007 (UTC) Hearty thanks for your prompt intervention. Enjoy your day.--BobClive 07:50, 21 January 2007 (UTC) Removal of links from high school articlesYou have started a series of edits removing relevant informational links from high school articles, with an edit summary of "rmv tangential ext links". As these links are directly relevant to the schools, they will be reinserted. If you have any specific reasons as to why they must be removed, please provide the relevant information. Alansohn 05:11, 22 April 2007 (UTC) External links should only exist where they are specifically related to the article topic--not a related use
These external links, for example, belong only in the West Deptford Public Schools article, not every article about the individual schools. #13, etc. Seattlenow 01:28, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
iWhackSorry for that - I just couldn't find anything that seemed to confer notability.--Vox Humana 8' 19:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC) Neptune TowersThanks for tightening those two Neptune Towers articles. Regarding the Ohio-Hamilton-NRHP-struct-stub template, I'm doing a trial run with a bot, so soon there will be about 200 more articles with that template, so it will eventually be its own stub, I was just having it upmerge temporarily until those other articles are created. Regarding your other changes to the article though, I will modify the creation template to incorporate those in to future articles. pw 01:27, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
PrimaIt was impossible to move PRIMA to Prima. Wikipedia considers them to be one and the same page for the purpose of movement. It is impossible to change capitalization via movement. Thanks. It's logical to conclude that if you are going to make an actual contribution then you edit the articles systematically, but you aren't. Also, can you reference an MoS on why you are chaning how I write headers? If not, then I don't think there is a problem with how I'm doing it. Hosikawafuzi 04:18, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Tagging of The French GameI recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on The French Game. I do not think that The French Game fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because this is probably not notable, it may be a hoax, but it is not Patent nonsense. I have tagged accordingly. I request that you consider not re-tagging The French Game for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk) 02:51, 29 July 2007 (UTC) Tj galdaHi, I have removed the speedy tag you placed on the above article. You mentioned in your edit summary that "assertions don't count", however an assertion of notability is all that the speedy deletion criteria requires. If you believe that assertion is false or not sufficient to establish notability, you may submit the article for PROD or AfD. You also mention in your edit summary WP:AUTO and WP:COI, neither of which is a speedy criteria. Dsmdgold 20:47, 29 July 2007 (UTC) re: EmmureOh, I made an error in transferring that file, then. Thanks for that information. I'll keep it in mind. Freightquote.comI have declined to speedy delete Freightquote.com, it is more spammy that it should be, but it asserts notability and the spam can be edited out. While it asserts notability, it is not clear that it is really notable, so you may wish to list it at WP:AFD, my guess is that a prod would be opposed by the creator (who may have a COI) in any event. Carlossuarez46 06:48, 7 August 2007 (UTC) re the move tabIn case you aren't aware, that's impossible without sysop. Kthx. --frotht 02:46, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
HelpThanks for your recent help in CertGuard and on brain dumps. I do appreciate it! --Mnemnoch 22:04, 17 August 2007 (UTC) Sources for modsRegarding the First Strike article: Can news updates from developers be used as references for upcoming mods? I take it I should also cut down the article so that it is more in line with Wiki policy? That is, not discussing gear, classes, withering fire, and so on, but focusing on what is currently found in the Gameplay, Publicity, and Criticism sections? --Safe-Keeper 01:01, 20 August 2007 (UTC) Roberto DuncansonI'm not sure what's meant by notability in this case then. If it requires controversy, protests, or major new laws, than most of the hate crimes recorded on Wikipedia under the Hate crimes against LGBT people category and on the Violence against LGBT people page would be disqualified because they didn't engender major protest or new laws, or much media coverage beyond local news. Looking at the notability guidelines, what I get is this:
Beyond those basic notability guidelines, I'm not sure where it says that major controversy, new laws, etc., are a requirement for recording hate crimes. Are those specific requirements or subjective? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TerranceDC (talk • contribs) 15:25, August 20, 2007 (UTC).
