"Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" is a song made famous by the vocal group Rockapella, and currently performed by that group as well as by former group leader Sean Altman, who co-wrote the song with David Yazbek. It was the theme song to the Peabody Award-winning game show of the same name that ran on PBS from 1991 to 1996. Every episode of the show ended with the show's cast and the Gumshoes shouting, "Do it, Rockapella!", followed by Rockapella singing the song, surrounded by a gleefully dancing studio audience. Rockapella's original recording appears on the 1992 BMG/Zoom Express album Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? and Television's Greatest Hits Volume 7: Cable Ready (TVT 1996). The song has maintained public awareness via The Today Show (NBC-TV), which licensed the song for its annual "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" campaign in the years 2000–2005.
