This page is an incomplete list of proposed mergers. Anyone may list any article merger proposal here. This is optional, and it does not replace any of the other steps in the merger process. Please add the appropriate merger tag(s) to the articles before listing them here. See Category:Merge by month for all pages needing to be merged.
In general, this page should be used primarily to solicit outside feedback regarding mergers (particularly those of a controversial nature), or assistance with difficult or complicated mergers. Brief replies may be posted here, but lengthy discussions should be confined to the talk pages of the articles involved. After articles are merged (or a consensus that the articles should not be merged is reached), please remove them from the list below.
If you want to show off your work, use the talk page.
Merge Randy and Pamela Copus into 2002 (band) - (Discuss). The two Copus' do not appear to be notable outside their band. Both articles are stubs and would benefit from being merged into one. ···? · Talk to Nihonjoe 00:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Merge Sexy Back (Poison song) into SexyBack - (Discuss). There is no reason why there needs to be a separate article for Poison's cover of this song. The information needs to be merged into this article. -XnuxtheEchidna 23:25, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Merge Jewish identity and Who is a Jew? (discussion.) They cover a lot of the same ground and the former is stub-sized. My preference is to merge them into Jewish identity, as a more encycylopedic name. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 21:50, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Merge List of Ancient Mamodo into List of Zatch Bell! characters. There are notable parts of the list of Ancient Mamodo, but don't necessarily merit their own page, and they should be given their own section in the List of Zatch Bell characters. The rest of the ancient mamodo aren't notable and don't need to be listed. 20:23, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge Dustin Camp and Brian Deneke into Murder of Brian Deneke or similar article. These two individuals are notable only for murdering and being murdered (respectively); their pages should be merged into a single article about the event. PowersT 17:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge Waterloo Hawks all-time roster into Waterloo Hawks. Waterloo Hawks all-time roster is mostly duplicate information that is already on the Waterloo Hawks page. I merged over position and college of each player unto Hawks page, but it has been reverted by User:SportsMaster twice. He has a conflict of interest with the material as he is the author. Can we get some more thoughts in the merger discussion area so we can get this done! Thanks! Talk:Waterloo Hawks all-time roster -GoHuskies9904 (talk) 22:04, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge solo hiking to hiking. The former article just lists how hiking alone is different from hiking in a group. It is very short and has not been really updated since its creation. It should be made into a subsection of the main article. | Talk 11:42, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge War Stories with More Stories, albums by Unkle, as the latter is not the regular album, just more of the supplemental release, available only in Japan and Australia. -- Kochas (talk) 00:06, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge Sports PNF into PNF stretching. Just would like additional comments on this proposed merge (discussion). -- 22:34, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge Gold Dinar and Islamic gold dinar. As far I understand them, the two articles are about the same coin currency: (4.25g of 91.7% gold). Comments needed. In particular, more expert knowledge in this area would be helpful. (discussion) -Hamstersanonymous (talk) 18:06, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge Maxwell Show into WMMS (FM). This has been requested for some time. Maxwell Show slightly improved, but not by much. Please put Maxwell Show into a section under WMMS (FM). If merger tags have been removed, it is because a user with a COI has constantly removed them. -GoHuskies9904 (talk) 20:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Merge Yahoo! Fantasy Sports into Yahoo! Sports. This has been requested for a couple of months. Users close to articles have not upgraded either to get both to stand alone status. Keep page named Yahoo! Sports with a section for fantasy. Thanks. -GoHuskies9904 (talk) 18:30, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Merge Mk I Mini into Mini. There is already a section on the MK I in the Mini page. We need to make sure all the relevant material in the Mk I Mini page is covered in the main Mini page then redirect Mk I Mini. Hethurs (talk) 18:41, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Merge Preces (Opus Dei) into Preces. They both deal with the class of prayer known as a prece, as a result they probably aught to be listed together with the opus dei example under the larger heading. Ithillion (talk) 04:24, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Merge the two centrifugal force articles. they both deal with different ways of looking at the same thing.David Tombe (talk) 14:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Merge Fafafini with Fa'afafine since they're both the same topic, just different spellings. h3llbringer (talk) 02:39, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Merge Bert (Sesame Street) and Ernie into Bert and Ernie. The two individual character pages repeats a lot of information - and most of that info is already well covered in the duo's shared article. And specific differences between the two can be said on the shared page. If later on enough depth and coverage can be provided for each character the two can be split. See Wikipedia:Notability (fiction)Mr Merge (talk) 23:55, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Merge VESDA into Smoke detector. Just because VESDA is a trademarked product, it is still a smoke detection apparatus in common use, but it probably doesn't need it's own page. --206.53.253.150 (talk) 19:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Merge several entries from {{Peanuts}} into List of minor Peanuts characters. Many of the characters appeared only one time in the entire run of the comic strip (not to mention that most of the related articles are unsourced). Anthony Rupert (talk) 05:41, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Merge and redirect Nay Aug Amusement Park with Nay Aug. Amusement park was small and based out of larger Nay Aug Park. Park is now closed and there is very little detail to merit it having its own article. Nay Aug article is more fleshed and is the common name used when referring to park. Amusement park article is also practically orphaned.
Merge (or redirect) Rodimus to Hot Rod (Transformers). The articles are very nearly identical - the only major difference is in what name they use to introduce the character. It appears that Rodimus was originally a redirect to Hot Rod (Transformers), but then someone had the infinite wisdom to replace it with a copy&paste copy of the latter article. | Talk 07:20, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Manny Ribera, Alex Sosa, and Frank Lopez all merge to Scarface (1983 film); each of these articles contains nothing more than plot summary and none of these characters have enough real-world notability to justify having separate articles. (The protagonist of the film, Tony Montana, is notable enough to have his own article, but the rest are not.) --Hnsampat (talk) 21:28, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Outside Context Problem to Excession. Discussion. The 1996 Iain M. Banks novel Excession is the origin of this neologism and, so far, the only referenced work on the article. Although Banks' idea may be applicable to cultural anthropology, there is as yet no sign that the term has acquired currency. The merge has been challenged, however, hence this discussion. 11:18, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Downtown Fort William, Ontario to Fort William, Ontario. The former is newly created, and I see no reason to have a separate article on this subject. As a matter of fact, I believe the former should form the latter's very core. --Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth-timed 14:26, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Merge (or redirect) Biodiesel processor into Biodiesel production. The processor page was last edited in 2003 and is entirely redundant with the production page. It should be deleted / merged.--E8 (talk) 04:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Elasticity of a function into Elasticity (economics). It contains little that isn't already in the destination article, and that little would fit well there. Besides, if there can be said to be a mathematical usage of the term elasticity, it's not this one, but rather this one. Discuss here— PaulTanenbaum (talk) 06:28, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Data disk (computer gaming) to Expansion pack. The former article, which I started since FSM knows when, hasn't ever been significantly expanded. In contrast, the latter article is considerably larger, and even mentions video games. I still dislike lumping computer games and general video games together, but will ignore it for this matter. | Talk 21:11, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Fond du Lac Freeway with Wisconsin Highway 145. With improvements, the two pages would end up being redundant, as they will carry quite a bit of the same information. Perhaps a section dealing with the section that is known as the Fond du Lac Freeway would be in order on the merged page. Thoughts?TheBigFish (talk) 16:47, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Rosy Cross with Rose Cross. There is some discussion on their talkpages that one is distinctly different from the other, but little clear evidence. Lusanaherandraton (talk) 00:16, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Water memory into Jacques Benveniste. The water memory article concerns itself mainly with a controversy over published research by Jacques Benveniste and presently excludes other kinds of water memory. —Whig (talk) 03:33, 2 February 2008 (UTC) No, I think the topic is broader & would overshadow the bio. DGG (talk) 00:33, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Portions of Paul Revere's Ride and Paul Revere - Former article was originally intended to be about the poem by Longfellow, as the edit history will confirm. It has, instead, become a lengthy article on the historical ride of Revere. Revere's article already has most of this information (but this one is better sourced, it seems) but an editor of both articles refuses to make the merge and is no longer responding on Talk:Paul Revere's Ride. Really just looking for further opinions on this. -Midnightdreary (talk) 14:46, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Klanbake to 1924_Democratic_National_Convention. Both pages start by saying that the two terms are synonyms. The merging requires a certain knowledge of the topic, which I don't have. Tcp-ip (talk) 14:59, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Merge Penalty area with Football Pitch, The article penalty area appears to relate to one small section of football pitch and could easily bemerged in to the main article.--Lucy-marie (talk) 16:02, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Merge Crimbo with Christmas. The former is just a slang term and could be included in the main article. 18:44, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Merge Caprica (TV series) with Battlestar Galactica. The former is a proposed spin-off which is in "development hell." The article consists primarily of speculation and rumors. Clconway (talk) 06:23, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Merge Postbooks into OpenMFG: Basically Postbooks is the stripped down and differently licensed version of OpenMFG, so the two articles have a lot of redundancy. --S.K. (talk) 16:53, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
merge Wikipedia:Spoiler into Wikipedia:No disclaimers in articles. We no longer have spoiler templates on Wikipedia articles, and this is explained adequately at WP:NDT. It would make sense, therefore, to put this separate guideline page, which used to be an exception, into abeyance and redirect to the more general guideline. •✗/C •16:35, 7 Jan 2008 (UTC)
merge Paraceratherium and Indricotherium. In french the corresponding articles are already merged. Here the difficulty is that both articles in english complete each other. The reason for the proposed merge is that : larger more robust Indricotherium with larger incisors being probably the male, and the more gracile Paraceratherium the female. It make no sense to have to articles describing a single specie. It need just a reference that historically they seemed to be different species. 6 January 2008
Merge Hoboken (PATH station) into Hoboken Terminal: The articles cover virtually the same thing, and the Hoboken Terminal article is more descriptive, with information in the latter being the source for the former. --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 08:15, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
merge John Cura into Tele-snaps, duplicated information; John Cura is exclusively known for tele-snaps. Rapido (talk) 14:35, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Merge Union Flag into Flag of the United Kingdom (discussion), likely controversial merger. At present two articles deal with the the same subject in order to avoid edit warring over the name of the article. Propose that the "standard" naming of flag articles should apply - or at least have only one article on a single subject. --sony-youthpléigh 12:38, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Merge Chimarrão into Mate. After all, they're both the same beverage, chimarrão being simply the local Brazilian denomination. — Rsazevedo 11:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Update. Second article has been redirected into third article. No apparent consensus to fold the first into the third. "Mistake" or not, recommend that the Italianization article be properly expanded independent of Fascist italianization and add citations instead. 147.70.242.40 (talk) 21:18, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Proposed merger of Blue Fugates into Methemoglobinemia. This was proposed a year ago by another user, but was incomplete. (The user added the mergeto template, but didn't list the merger proposal here or on any talk page.) Two editors, including me, disagreed with the proposal. I have restarted the merger proposal (discuss) to make sure it's handled correctly. Personally, I'm voting against, but want to give the proposal a fair shake.
Still appears unresolved, but a poll though stale is in progress. --Kevin Murray (talk) 01:25, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
