This is a list of premade messages (called "templates") for greeting new users. For a display of the various basic designs, see Wikipedia:Welcome template table.
Use these for a user who recently registered a username. All of the templates below can be customized with an additional message, a picture of a plate of cookies, a colored border, icons, or a different opening text.
{{subst:welcomenpov}} ~~~~ → Welcome someone whose initial efforts do not adhere to the neutral point of view policy.
{{subst:Welcomespam}} ~~~~ → with additional discussion of anti-spamming polices, use when a new user's initial contributions seem to consist solely of spamming external links.
{{subst:Welcomeunclesam}} ~~~~ → for anonymous users to urge them to create an account
{{subst:User:Arknascar44/Welcome}}, welcome with personalized message, syntax is {{subst:User:Arknascar44/Welcome|msg=message|sig=~~~~}}
{{subst:User:Audacity/Welcome}} is a more customizable and personalized template than the standard welcomes, and can be used for both anonymous editors and users
{{subst:User:Audacity/Velcome}} is a similar message, but in copy-and-paste format allowing easy modification and personalization
{{subst:User:Booksworm/welcomemain}} The Main Page of all of Booksworm's welcome messages. They are, however, very graphic and work best on Mozilla Firefox
{{subst:User:Bwilkins/welcomecivil}} For welcoming a user who became involved in an uncivil discussion early in their "career". You may add the username of the editor who was attacked if desired. Based on Welcomenpov and includes a heading. {{subst:User:Bwilkins/welcomecivil|other username}}
{{subst:User:James086/welcome}} is a simplified version of {{welcomeh}}. If you use this you must change the user talk section or I will get messages intended for you!
{{subst:User:Malinaccier/Welcome}} A mix of most welcome pages. Based on TomasBat's welcome page. You have to change the talk page link to your own at the bottom.
{{subst:User:Od Mishehu/welcome}}, which has room for a comment, and {{subst:User:Od Mishehu/welcome+uncat}} for a new user who created an article without a category. For both of them, there is a link to my talk page: use the user parameter to link to yours instead.
