This is a WikiProject, a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of a particular topic, or to organizing some internal Wikipedia process.
Please see the Guide to WikiProjects and the Directory of WikiProjects for more information.
Then, though this project is mainly concerned with editing existing disambiguation pages, it is useful to have read Wikipedia:Disambiguation, which describes guidelines about when and how to disambiguate.
Once you have fixed an article, leave an edit summary pointing to this project. This is important as it tells reviewers why the article was changed and gains this project some visibility. Suggested edit summary:
Repaired link to disambiguation page: [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation|please help]]
If you find a dab (disambiguation) page which needs cleaning up, but don't have the time to do it right now (or, aren't sure about the best way to attack the problem), you can change the {{disambig}} template at the bottom of the page to be {{disambig-cleanup}} (or change {{hndis}} to {{hndis-cleanup}}). This will add it to Category:Disambiguation pages in need of cleanup, as well as change the descriptive text at the bottom of the page. Describing the problem on the dab page's talk page will help future editors understand what they need to do.
If you want to help clean up dab pages other people have nominated, just visit Category:Disambiguation pages in need of cleanup and pick one to work on. Check the talk page for comments earlier editors may have left. When you fix up a page, please change the {{disambig-cleanup}} back to {{disambig}} (or change {{hndis-cleanup}} back to {{hndis}}). Thanks for helping make Wikipedia a less ambiguous place!
Reporting malplaced disambiguation pages
Where there is no primary topic, the disambiguation page should be at "Foo" rather than "Foo (disambiguation)", as stated in Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Generic topic. When you find a malplaced disambiguation page, you can report it at /Malplaced disambiguation pages, or, if you can do so yourself, use the move tool to rename the malplaced page.
Disambiguating pages
There are many instances where a new disambiguation page is needed. A collection of auto-generated suggestions is at Wikipedia:Suggestions for name disambiguation; currently, there is no pending work listed at that page.

Jerzy - When MoSDab was sent for consensus, i (briefly) thot it was a mistake, so i guess it's appropriate for this to finally be my first WikiProject.
Joe Llywelyn Griffith Blakesleytalkcontrib 17:28, 2 June 2007 (UTC) (Seem to spend way too much time cleaning up DPs and otherwise sorting dab like cleaning up or adding redirects and hatnotes.)
maf (talk-cont) (finally relenting to sign up after some 120 cleanups) (rm myself after some 121 cleanups - guidelines are not enough, will wait for policy)
RideABicycle I didn't even know this was part of a group, but I've been "clarifying" (the term I have applied to the process of directing links to proper pages, not disambiguation pages) for a while (I recently cleared out Special:Whatlinkshere/Lake_Placid). I look forward to continuing my "clarification crusade" but as a member of WikiProject Disambiguation.
