Wikipedia:Portal

The WikiProject on Portals is a project to better organize information in articles related to Portals. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there. At present, there are 129 featured portals, of a total of 577 portals on Wikipedia.

Scope

This WikiProject has been created in order to better organise portals and related templates, so as to allow better integration and co-ordination between portal topic areas and ensure any particular Portal does not become messy, forgotten or unnoticed.

Currently, there is no process for the proposal and approval of new portals. If you want to create a new portal, see Portal and participate in the discussions there.

You may also talk about your idea for a new portal here. We'll be happy to review your idea and help out where we can.

Goals

1. List all portals and related sub pages in the portal space
2. Discuss and settle upon ways of linking portals of related topics
3. Discuss already created portals and determine their usability, readability, and worth.
4. Discuss, create and harmonise templates and portal boxes.

Projects

1. Help critique and improve featured portal candidates.
2. Help WikiProject — Portal dynamics coordination and integration.

Tasks

1. List all portals and related sub pages in the portal space on the discussion page. - Huh? Why would we want them there. We should list them here or on a subpage.
