X-Smiles is an experimental XML Browser written in the Java programming language, which means that it can be used on a wide range of devices and platforms. It has a liberal open-source license, based on Apache license, which allows it to be used in other open source projects as well as commercial projects. It is intended for both desktop use and embedded network devices and to support multimedia services. The main advantage of the X-Smiles browser is that it supports several XML related specifications and is still suitable for embedded devices supporting the Java environment. It supports many current XML languages, including XHTML, CSS, SVG, XForms, SMIL, etc. External links
