Zeroshell is a small Linux distribution for servers and embedded systems which aims to provide network services. As its name implies, you don't need to use a shell (computing) to administer and configure Zeroshell, because you can use a web based Graphical user interface. Zeroshell is available as Live CD and CompactFlash images, and VMware virtual machines.

Some features

  • Firewall Packet Filter and Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI);
  • Layer 7 filter to block or shape the connections generated by Peer to Peer clients;
  • Multi subnet DHCP server;
  • Syslog server for receiving and cataloging the system logs produced by the remote hosts;
  • X.509 certification authority.
